Scan From Lexmark Printer To Computer

CONNECT PRINTER TO NETWORK

The simplest way to connect the Lexmark printer to your computer is by using the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS).

  • Wi-Fi Protected Setup: The WPS method will work if you have a WPS-enabled router.
  • From the printer control panel, select the following options.
  • Settings > Network/Ports > Wireless > Wi-Fi Protected Setup > Start Push Button Method.
  • Press the WPS button (on the router).
  • The printer will try to find the wireless connection coming from the router.
  • Now, the printer will be connected to the wireless network using the WPS method.

PLACING THE ORIGINALS TO SCAN

Lexmark printers have two different places to place the original documents.

  • Auto Document Feeder: Place the document you want to scan into the ADF of the printer.
  • Scanner Glass: Place the original document on the scanner glass.

Based on your choice, you can place the document(s) either in the Auto Document Feeder or the scanner glass.

DOWNLOAD THE LEXMARK SCANBACK UTILITY

  • Download the Lexmark Scanback utility from the official Lexmark support page.
  • Once the download is done, run the application.
  • Click Setup and add the IP address of the printer.
  • Select Close > Next.
  • Now, you need to select the size of the document, format and scan resolution, and a unique file name. Click Next after each selection.
  • Choose a destination or a folder location on your computer to save the scanned document; click Next.
  • Open the main menu on the printer display.
  • Select Scan Profiles > Scan to Computer.
  • Choose a destination folder where you want to save the scan.
