  • Unpack your printer and take out all the components which came along with it.

  • Remove all the protective tapes and packing material from your printer and its components.
  • Take out the power cord given along with your printer and plug it into the printer and an electrical socket. Turn on your printer.
  • Select your preferred language, country, and set the date and time. Next, select Continue.
  • On your printer’s touch screen, you will be notified with a message to install the cartridges. Open the cartridge access door of your printer, and start installing your cartridges one by one. You need to install the ink cartridges according to the color indications. When you finish installing your ink cartridges, close the cartridge access door of your printer.
  • Go back to your printer’s touch screen to resume the setup process. It will intimate you to load the paper.
  • On your printer, lower the paper tray and slide the guides to the edges. Align and fan your paper neatly. Load the paper and adjust the paper guides against your paper.
  • Now, the control panel of your printer will intimate you to align the paper. Press OK and pull out the output tray.
  • The alignment page will be printed and will be ejected out of the printer. Lift the lid of the scanner and place the alignment page on the scanner glass. Close the scanner lid and tap on Scan.
  • Install the printer software. You can download it directly from the HP official website.
  • When you complete the installation of your printer software, make sure to connect your printer to your computer. But do so only after getting the instruction from the printer software.
