FIRST THINGS FIRST

  • Ensure that your HP printer is unpacked and its hardware setup is completed.
  • Check to ensure that your printer (with which you're facing the problem) is connected to the computer.

  • If you wish to scan using a web browser, enable Webscan on your printer.
  • Get the document or original you want to scan and load it into the ADF or on the scanner glass of your printer.

(For ADF: Load the original with its print-side facing up. For scanner glass: Load the document with its print-side facing down).

  • Click on the Scan tab.
  • Choose the Scan a Document or Scan a Photo option.
  • Now, select Save as PDF, Save as JPEG, Email as PDF, or Email as JPEG under the Scan Shortcuts section.
