Transferring fax memory

  • Press the Cancel button followed by Settings.
  • Select All Settings > Service > Data Transfer > Fax Transfer.
  • Now, if you find any data in the Fax Transfer window, type the fax number of the printer to which you wish to transfer the data and press Fax Start.

Removing foreign objects or jammed paper from the printer

  • To remove the foreign object or jammed paper, check the important parts of your printer. 
  • Usually, the paper can get stuck in the input tray, output tray, inside the printer, on the scanner glass, etc. So, look for the jammed paper or foreign paper left on your printer and remove it carefully.
  • After removing the foreign or jammed paper from your printer, check if the unable to print error 50 is displayed on the screen.
  • If not, print a Print Quality Check Sheet (PQCS). Otherwise, restart your printer.

Printing a Print Quality Check Sheet (PQCS)

  • Press the ink level icon on your printer’s control panel.
  • Select Test Print > Print Quality > OK.
  • Now, your printer will start to print the PQCS report. 
  • If PQCS is printed successfully, then the Brother printer error code 50 is resolved. Otherwise, restart your printer.

Restarting the printer

  • Turn off your Brother printer.
  • Unplug the printer’s power cord from its outlet.
