Initially, make sure that the SMTP server is operating properly. If this error occurs even after the SMTP server is working properly, try the following troubleshooting methods one by one. 

 

Method 1: Checking the status of your network

  • Improper network connection may also cause this error. So, as the first step of troubleshooting, check whether your network is working properly. 
  • In case you find it is not stable, then connect the printer to another network that is stable and active. 
  • After connecting the printer to another network, check whether the Canon Printer Error Code 752 is fixed. If not, try the next method.

PRINTER OFFLINE: 

If the SMTP server name, domain name, and email address are misconfigured on your printer, you may encounter this error while performing the scan or fax operation. Check whether the server name, domain name, and email address are configured correctly in the printer’s Communication Settings wizard. If necessary, modify the settings correctly.   • Locate the Add.Func section and click the Settings command link below it.
  • Similarly, under the Network Settings section, click the E-mail/I-Fax Settings option.

  • Now, check whether your SMTP server name is configured correctly in the displayed window. If not, configure it correctly.
  • Similarly, you can also check the domain name from the Network Settings section.
  • Click on the TCP/IP Settings option to check the DNS settings.
 

Checking the email account settings

If you have shared the same email address with your computer and the Canon printer, you can check the email account settings from the mail software, for example, Outlook.

  • Launch the mail software installed on your computer.
  • Click Tools Account Mail. In the Mail dialog box, select the email account with which you’re encountering the issue.

  • Similarly, check if the My Server requires authentication option is selected below the Outgoing Mail Server section.
