UNPACK YOUR PRINTER

  • Open the product box and then take out all the items that you have received.
  • Your package includes the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 printer, ink tanks, print head, power cord, installation CD, and a getting started guide.

DISCARD THE PACKING MATERIALS

  • Remove all the packing tapes and protective covers from your printer.
  • Open your printer’s top cover and take off all the packing materials.
  • Close the top cover.

TURN ON AND CONFIGURE YOUR PRINTER

  • Take the given power cord and connect it to your printer’s rear port and an electrical outlet.
  • Turn on your printer by pressing the ON button.
  • Using the navigation keys, select your language and press OK.
  • Set the date and time and press OK.

INSTALL THE PRINT HEAD

  • Open the paper output tray followed by the top cover.
  • Unpack the print head and remove its protective cap.
  • Raise the print head lock lever and insert the print head into its holder.
  • Press the print head firmly and lower the print head lock lever.

INSTALL THE INK TANKS

  • Unpack the ink tanks and take off their orange caps.
  • Now, insert the ink tank into the print head and press it until it fits into its place.
  • Ensure that the installed ink tank’s color appears on the screen.
  • Do the same for all the ink tanks and close the printer’s top cover.

LOAD PAPER

  • Open the paper support and extend the feed slot cover.
  • Slide the right paper guide to the extreme corner.
  • Take a paper stack and load it into the paper tray with the print side facing up.
  • Move the right paper guide against the stack and close the feed slot cover.
  • Extend the output tray extension and the paper output support.

CONNECT YOUR PRINTER TO THE COMPUTER

Select The Connection Method
  • When the “Select the connection method” screen appears, choose the USB connection, Wired LAN connection, or Wi-Fi connection option using the navigation button. Once you select your preferred option, press OK.
  • Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your computer’s CD drive, double-click on the setup file, and click Start Setup. Go ahead with the instructions on the screen and complete the driver installation.
  • If your computer doesn’t have a CD drive, visit Canon’s website and get the compatible software. Then, install it on your computer by adhering to the instructions.
